I used to love Isis but they kind of lost me throughout the years. This one does nothing for me. The songs go nowhere.

This is my first experience with Isis so I can't compare, but the criticism of the production in the review is spot on. Whatever they were trying at there is kind of lost to me. To me this music is like Opeth; enduring the often uninteresting hard bits until a nice, softer part makes the wait worthwhile.

I fell asleep three times trying to listen to this. I wanted to like it. They were on tour with Pelican but I just couldn't stay awake enough to warrant going to see them.
