We seem to disagree a lot lately, except in the new Thy Catafalque. I'm enjoying this album very much. not a masterpiece, but a very good album. I would rate it between 78-83. I didn't hear much metalcore here, and I liked the atmospheric wanderings and the brief "progressive" moments. 64 is a bit harsh, don't you think?

Feel free to disagree with me all the time. Just shows we are thinking about things. As I tried to point out, I liked this album on first spin, especially the first three tracks. Then tracks 4 and 5 hit the wrong spot, and I tended to spend more time on them starting the album there multiple times only to like it less and less. Those two are the tracks where I hear modern metal influences. The beginning and the end are much better. In the end, the vocals truly pushed it down for me, where normally I don't care much about those things. He is just gurgling and suffocating on his own words waay over the top. Supposed to be emotional, but for me it is just distracting, when the atmospherics and intricate texture behind the vocals is wonderful. The score - yeah, maybe I could say 70, but I would stop at the first 3 tracks every time I would come to this album. Hope you saw my reasons now, and if we continue to disagree .... I dunno.
