I am glad Zad took a crack at it. Try as I might, for the second time in a row I can't quite grasp what the excitement is all about with this band. Greatly overthought in my shallow opinion.

I can't stand the female vocals either, it is very very rare that I will find a female-fronted band that will not make my stomach turn and my ears complain. Same applies for that other band in this week's reviews, Kingfisher Sky. I can't remember which one was the worse singer though based on the few samples I listened to.
So that's just my subjective view, for sure I don't blame or accuse anybody who might like this.

If I were reviewing this now I'd have given it a score that was a good 5 points higher, if not more; really enjoying their OTT sound. According to their MySpace they have new music coming soon; be interesting to hear how they're progressing without Lee in the band.

I really like their previous CD also, Transcendental from 2006.
