I first heard about Saviour Machine around 10 years ago and bought this particular album at a garage sale and was blown away by its quality (id probably rate it around 90 something).

Due to sheer laziness on my part, I havent listened to any of their other albums....Are they as mind-blowing as their debut?

@RedHawk & @MetalStorm

I made a few attempts at listening SMII and Legend, but haven't yet had the time to give either of them a complete and well deserved spin. Anyways SMI set very high standards so I will definitely try to make time for more Saviour Machine.

@bucketofheads

Thank you! Hopefully more reviews from this great band will come.

U2? Blegh!

That aside, I was listening to their myspace this morning, and it actually sounded a lot better than I thought it was going to be. 100 though? ...and such a short review.

Sorry, I read that as one of their influences somewhere.

Ah, OK, influenced by U2. Yes, I see it now on their Wikipedia page.

awesome, IMHO everything up to Legend III:I is a classic no question about it( III:I is still awesome just not up to par with the others, production in my mind)

and by the way 100/100 makes this a classic right? or just a perfect album( is there a difference???) i also ask this about Reign In Blood awhile back

Great music no doubt, I highly enjoyed their myspace offerings. Also proof again that the message behind the music means little.

For me the 100 note is strictly for the quality of the album. Deciding whether one album is a classic or not it's a different business and it mostly depends on how one defines what a classic album is. According to my definition, a classic album is for example either a highly influential or a genre defining one, definitely a MUST for the everyday Metalhead. These are hard to find. So I preffer giving 100 to an exceptional album rather than to weigh whether it's a classic or not, which is more difficult.

100/100 is ridiculous. Few albums are that good, even the classics.
