I honestly have no idea, H_T never gave me a URL.

No not yet, we're all much too lazy, everyone is in school or working too so we don't have much time to launch one. We do have some shitty little page on purevolume.com But that hardly qualifies as a website.

Also Aaron, as far as I'm concerned Harbinger is the only band EVER to have covered this song. I did a shit load of searches and even asked Lee Payne himself, one of the original members if anyone had covered the song....and apparently no one has, and he thinks our version is better....which is pretty awesome.

Actually, I wasn't aware that it was a Cloven Hoof song. I got it mixed up with Breakin' The Law by Priest.

Pretty embarassing, eh?

Oh...ha ha, yeah during shows we usually have Matt introduce the song by asking people if they like the song "Breakin the Law" and then proceeds to tell them that we're not going to break it, but to Lay it down.

NP - Morningstar

This would be a killer song if the production was better.

I know that is what HT is going for, an underground sound, but this needs some serious work. There is a difference between a live version of a song and an album version of a song, except with this. It all sounds like it was recorded live.

PS - this is very good stuff. I love the guitar work on Morningstar.

Well this wasnt the ideal sound we were going for, in fact the demo as a whole was done in about three days with a shitty little computer mike on a free download recording program. So for what it cost and how much time we put into it....I'd say it was pretty good. But the next one will be done in a studio properly. When we have time that is.

That's all I can think of, but that cover looks so familiar. I don't think it's either of these albums that I'm thinking of.

I think I know what you're talking about, looks like the cover of an old movie I used to see at Box Office Video all the time. Can't put a name to it though...

Holy Terror, where do you hail from? If you're in the US, you might consider getting in contact with my buddy Greg, who mixed a demo for a Aborted clone (LOL, clone of a clone) called Skodus, which, upon hearing, I was incredibly impressed with. Not the band, but the perfect mixing. He is majoring in communications, and thusly has access to legit recording materials, and has been aching for another chance to do this process again. From what he told me, he pissed the band off by repeatedly making each piece replay their part in the demo, in search for perfection, so he didn't just throw everything together. I suppose that's the process anyhow, but all and all, considering it was his first big project, and that the band got signed via that demo, he seems like he could do a great job, and probably for free if you went to him.

I believe he did his thing in the Boston area, so if you are close to that area, why not let me call him, and see if he can do something like that again.

Note: When he played the demo for me, I had no idea what I was getting into, and honestly, when the first song got going, I thought it was a track off the Aborted Haemetobic EP that I never ended up buying, but had sampled a few tracks from. Then again, maybe you are looking for a garage like sound. I haven't sampled your work yet, but I am looking forward to doing so, though I don't know what I'll be able to tell you from that, if you indeed say that that wasn't the ideal sound you were looking for.

Anyway, that's that...

I live in Michigan so I'm not sure how easy it would be for us to head out that way. But I will let you know once I run it by everyone. Thanks.

I find this to be a very good demo. Don't see whats wrong with the vocals; they're perfectly excellent. And of course the sound quality is shitty, its a demo. Most importantly, however, the guitar work is very good. Well done, my good man.

Just now hearing stuff off this demo, and I really like the vocals alot. Awesome guitar work as well. I could see why you'd say this production wasn't ideal, but you I hope you'll retain some of the goofy garage side in the future.
