'Head was never forgotten in the 90's.
1916, Bastards, this one, Overnight Sensation, Snake Bite Love... all very good albums.
Anyway, good job, a well deserved review for a kickass album.

We know all the words of power,
All about the witching hour,
We know the reason why you´re scared,
And here comes your nightmare.

I bought 1916 at the time; they were still definitely on the map in '91. However, that was the tail end of the metal years.

I think it's fair to say 1995 was a period of relative obscurity for a lot of metal including Motorhead.

True.
There have always been the faithful, though.
I saw them on the Sacrifice tour when they came to Nor. Cal, pretty badass. The 90's saw some of their heaviest material.
One thing about 'Head; they don't change with the wind.
And that's (in this case) a good thing.

The title track for this kicks all kinds of ass.

I had nearly given up on Motorhead after March or Die. Then Bastards revived my interest. Sacrifice is possibly the best release after the original members left. This is quality all the way. Like Ace of Spades with a new style of metal bleeding through it. Now that Phil and Mikkey have been in the band longer than Eddie and Philthy, I consider this line up as Motorhead. LEMMY IS GOD!

I love Motorhead but Sacrifice is easily their worst album.

Listened to this twice now. A good solid and rockin album but the score is a bit too high in my opinion. I would put in rate it somewhere between 80-85 I think..
