I'm really looking forward to this. Great all around band. I've liked them since their debut before Nils came on board.

I have got to listen to this, and a fan as I am, I like it a lot. Given that I liked Far from the Maddening Crowd more than Shadow Cabinet, Salt is closer to the former, if not in Celtic sound, then in spirit. Definitely a great return for the band after some long period of silence. 'Ness, seek this out, if I know anything about your taste.

This gets two big toes up! I think this is a little more focused than shadow cabinet. Shadow cabinet had good songs but they each kind of felt out of place vs Madding crowd felt like a solid album that killed. Salt is more like madding crowd in that regard, and is awesome, but lacks the emotional impact that madding crowd had. I would say salt is their second best work. (within and shadow tied for number 3) :dio:
