How does this compare to the album Whore of Bethlehem?

I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by this album getting reviewed here. MR seem to be generally disregarding the 'raw' stuff. Nice call Charles! I have not actually heard this yet as I was waiting for the vinyl release, but I loved Whore of Bethlehem so I better get to ordering. I don't expect any surprises and neither would I want any. Archgoat have found what they do best and are surely one of the best bands in this particular style of BM. Black Witchery and the likes can't hold a candle to Archgoat when it comes to quality riffing and avoiding the trap of getting downright silly (and posery) in their satanic imagery.

Besides from this, Archgoat is probably one of the (if not the) best band(s) for drunkenly headbanging while trying not spill your beer in a furious semi-epileptic air guitar session. :dio:

Yeah it's hard to write a substantial review of it. One of those "does what it says on the tin" bands, as Zad put it. A lot of fun, though.
