Hell yeah! A killer album by a killer band which, even at its worse, was still good.
Slightly, but slightly slightly, less effective than Ironbound and The Electric Age, White Devil Armory is another proof of Overkill's domination over thrash metal.

90/100

Oh yes, motherfuckers. The Jersey wrecking crew is back with another album chock full of the high grade, blistering thrash that we've all come to expect. As stated, the Overkill power groove is out and in full force here with the Linsk/Tailer tandem and the criminally unheralded Verni dealing out blows on standouts like Freedom Ring, Another Day to Die and Where There's Smoke. In spite of it's apparent greatness, WDA doesn't quite reach the pinnacle of their last two records. That being said it still stands head and shoulders above any of their 80's peers. I agree Frenchie, 90/100.

And Blitz, man, Blitz! He's 55 and still has the pipes to blow away any youngster trying to compete, I'm not even going to mention those of his generation... Really, what an amazing thrash vocalist!

Blitz is magnificent. I have no idea how he keeps it going. If I were to rank these three last albums of theirs now it would probably look something like this:

1. Ironbound 95/100
2. Electric Age 90/100.
3. WDA 85/100

1 - Ironbound 95
1 - The Electric Age 95
3 - WDA 90

I really can't tell which of Ironbound and TDA is the best, Ironbound came first so it might be slighly ahead.

Btw, I was browsing the Overkill reviews featured on MR and was shocked that not one album got the classic status.

Taking Over has not been done yet. Going to classic that one. Feel the Fire should be a classic as well IMO.

Under the Influence deserves a better review and score, and I would totally re-do it if I were to review it again.

EDIT: The Years of Decay is labeled classic.

Yes sir, that maniacal cackle is as sharp as ever. Gives some of the funnest interviews as well. Mille is really the only one who challenges him in my opinion.

Mille is a lesser singer than Blitz, in my opinion. Blitz can do mélodies too.

From the islands to the cities, from the ports into the sea.
We are strong, we will always be...
Blazing through the wreckage, burning all we see...
The life we lead, committed to be free...
Our union is a fortress!
Together we are bound.
A common bound in freedom, and in sound!!!
So raise your voices high!
For miles around to hear.
Let them know, we are drawing near...

In union we stand,
As they! blaze across the land!!!
In union, we make a final stand...

A peaceful co-existance, is droping out of sight.
So band together, together we will fight.
Blasting the resistance, marching to the top.
They started this, we say when it stops.
Strike fear within their hearts!
Strike down those in your way.
Let them know, that we live, today!!!
They throw us into flames,
Did not hear our cries.
But now, from the ashes we arise...

Agreed. Blitz is above and beyond Mille.

Mille gets bonus points for his awesome shred! Singing and playing guitar at the same time is deceptively difficult, especially in a band with the chops of Kreator.
