When I saw them a few days ago, they played this entire album for the first set (not the second disc, though, they played Bonnie The Cat in their second set), and it was damn good-- good enough to make me buy this. I have heard people say this isn't their best, but hey, seeing it live, they could've fooled me. :P

Porcupine Tree's worst album is still a damn good album, and this is not their worst album. Good review Zad.

I just can't get in to this album despite absolutely loving Stupid Dream, In Absentia, Deadwing and Fear of a Blank Planet.

Good album, but there are many other bands like Kaipa that play fantastic prog rock and deserve more attention, also of note Kaipa has guitarist Per Nilsson from Scar Symmtery.

Great Review, you pretty much hit the nail on the head, though I would like to point out that the NIN influence works to awesome effect on the title track.

Also, much like Fear of a Blank Planet, this album is MUCH better live. The metal parts are crushing and the quiet parts are a lot more eerie and effective. Not to mention the video clips that accompany the concept are pretty creepy and distract from the bland lyrics.
