This really sucks that the album turned out this way but when I heard the new song I figured it'd be pretty boring. It didn't have anything that was going on during their first album.

A really huge shame, I was really hoping these guys would start paving the way with something a bit new in the mainstream. They just had such an eclectic mix of sounds and great energy on the first album.

They've never been anything to me other than another melodic death band. I've never quite understood the hype about them at all, although, a couple of tracks here and there isn't all that bad. Great review.

I'm trying to like this new one but it's nothing like KoM was. That album was massive. It was all over the place and very energetic. It was like Dragonforce speed and Arsis technicality (especially like We Are the Nightmare) having a head-on collision.

Threnody is just.. boring. It's like it just meanders and goes nowhere. I too was hoping they'd bring something new in the good-but-getting-stale melodeath genre.
