You didn't seem too ecstatic about this band so I'll pass. The true question is who are these 'hipster Doom' bands?

I've had this one for about 2 months now, about 20 listens. I do disagree with the score, simply because I really don't know how one can profess to expect so much more from a stoner metal act when confronted with this kind of creativity and variety. Mastodon aside, who is really head and shoulders above these guys? So many stoner bands have fallen into a punk-like rut, and here comes Bison with violins, time changes, riffs, photo montages and beards. Behold!

Eh, a bit of violin can't change the fact that the songs just aren't that great. As I said, their next will probably be better.

I actually wonder if they will be able to keep it up. 10+ riffs/ideas per song is quite a bit. My only complaint is probably their musicianship, it's a bit lacking in parts. Other than that, very enjoyable.

Well, they weren't able to keep it up. Their newest sounds more doomy and less interesting.

I heard "Stressed Elephant" and was totally blown away by it.

I might have to check this one out.
