After seeing you post this in the Now Playing thread, I remembered hearing the name in a positive light from some of the more black metal-savvy forum members way back when, so I found a song on YouTube.

Yeah.... I'm down with raw black metal, but this is just way over the top.

I've heard their demo collection and thought it was actually pretty cool.

I'd recommend Sort Vokter if you can't quite take the production and style of Ildjarn but can appreciate what he's going for.

I think it is a good album. Pretty unique in its own right.

I'll give you that much. Like I said, an experience worth it for itself.

I could never make up my mind of I liked this or not. Therefore, I'd say 40 is a little harsh, but not that harsh.

Well, according to the site guidelines, 40-49 is below average/for serious fans only, and if you dig this album I'd say you were a pretty serious fan.

I listened to it once whilst completely wasted.

'twas Misha who regarded it highly.

Backs away slowly...

40 is an excellent score, Zad. Just right!

Here's the only topic I could find.

http://www.metalreviews.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6356

BTW, the forum search doesn't seem to go past 2007.

Some of the better songs include Chill of the Night, Midnight Interval, Cold and Waste and maybe Untitled III.

Really, it's not that bad.

Although I wouldn't recommend listening to it on headphones.

I have this motherfucker on LP, and it's fucking awesome.

You get this cool picture of The Ildjarn Castle which is some charcoal drawing he made, pretty insane.

This is good, but not really something I would listen to all that often. Someone should review Seven Harmonies of the Unknown Truth
