Is this the new trend since Nachtmystium got mainstream acclaim for "Meddle"?

Actually, The Corpse Of Rebirth was originally released before Nachtmystium did it. So, Check them out, great band.

Very interesting; like what I hear on the myspace. Is that a cockernee accent I hear?

Anyway, like the review says they sound a lot more like Wolves in the Throne room than someone like Nachtmystium... It also reminds me of the also-British Fen.

I've had the new track from the new album on repeat for about 8 times now. From the myspace stuff: I hear Drudkh, I hear WITTR, I certainly hear Fen and Alcest too.

Kudos to the MDB violinist for leaving that grand old beast for something new, risky, and invigorating.

Vocals are a bit irritating, but as with Jarost Marksa, they are passable when great music is involved. And it is not like BM is about vocals!

Quite cool stuff, forgot I had this.

Is anyone else unsure whether it's a good or bad thing when someone says "This band sounds like Wolves in the Throne Room"?

Yes, of course, as I am ambivalent towards them. But most seem to like/love them.

I enjoyed Diadem of 12 Stars when it was released, but this NWOHBM I'm not so sure about.
