once is not habit but I fully disagree on this review... so much that I wonder whether it is the same album that we listened to....

i actually liked Magnum a lot back in the eighties.... On A Storyteller's Night, Vigilante & Wings of Heaven were my favourites... so when I saw Magnum had a new album coming out I was pretty glad.

I bought the album the week it came out & started listening to it immediatly and, hum.... so boring... long hollow songs, complete lack of passion and originality... the vocals sound particulary bad on this one, the man sounds old & tired, the rest of the band is in the same wrong path.

I've listened to this album at least ten times to finally make my mind : it's a dustbin flyer !

I'll give it 20/100

I had the same feeling when I first listened to this. It sounded a bit lack-lustre and boring but after several listens, I really grew to like this CD a lot. I think it has lots of emotion and passion. Granted, the songs are more of the same sort of mid-tempo variety than usual but I still think it's great. It's funny how other review sites are either raving about this album or are very indifferent much like yourself. I really have only heard the latest Magnum releases and not their stuff from the 80's so I really can't compare it with them........thanks for the comments!

I was listening to this album today. Good album, but am I the only one that sings Survivor's "Burning Heart" to the music of "Brand New Morning?"
