Holy shit I'm listening to the song now, and it sucks even more the second time through. The riffing is clunky and repetitive chugging and the solo is the only redeeming aspect, Shaggy's vocals are even more computerized than usual, and god that awful scraping in the background from those female vocals, I'm waiting for her to come out and say: "IM GOING TO GET YOU MY PRETTY, EEEEHEEEEHEHEHEHEHEEE". The drumming is ok kind of dull and reduced to slower double bass fills, overall an incredibly sterile and boring song.

I just don't care for this song. Maybe the full album will be a bit better, with Gateways being to Abrahadabra as The Dragontower was to Reptilian.

Also, was a five paragraph review really necessary for one song? :huh:

And. this insistence on referring to this plastic, generic dross as Black Metal is damned baffling.

I don't hate Dimmu, but they aren't black metal; outside of a few tracks plus Enthrone Darkness they've been forgetable.

Flawed as CoF is, I think they are categorically better.
