Classic..and bar none one of the best black metal albums I've ever heard.. Nothing by the Norwegian scene with the exception of De mysteriis Dom Sathanas and Darkthrone's first four even come close to this album.. Thank you for finally at least reviewing the album though, I would have liked to see a bit more in depth analysis of the songs

Yes, I would have liked to spend a lot more time soaking this up and being more thorough but as it was a promo I felt it was best to finish up quickly. If I had known how great an album this was when I signed up for it I probably would've planned accordingly. :D

Edit: I finally noticed when putting this review up that it's 66 minutes and 6 seconds

Hell yeah.
This a killer album, though I don't know where the death metal portion of the genre description is coming from.

It takes a little getting used to the vox, but this is aces.

I think he's referring to some of the thrash influence in some songs such as the titletrack. It is death-metalish but more in the vein of Sodom and Sarcofago.

yeah I hear more thrash myself.
No matter, the album (thier best IMO) is killer whatever it's labelled.

I think you overstate here, Steve.

That said, this album is excellent, and deserved some long overdue attention :dio: :dio:

This is the perfect album for this Halloween today, I can't wait to spin this when I get off of work.
