Figured I'd bump this. I know we discussed this band somewhere, but I can't find the thread.

Anyway, the band has a new singer now. I loved the previous singer, though I understand his style was very...different. The new guy is far easier to digest. And their new album, When Mountains Roar, kicks ass!

…And Hell Followed With Him is a more than decent album – it’s just not a great one, and so is hard to recommend.

As for that comment from the review: Why the fuck is it hard to recommend a "more than decent" album?

To answer this, I direct your attention to the sentence immediately before the one you quoted.

Quote:
What holds this band back is the fact that there are a lot of other bands doing exactly the same thing, at least half of them having better vocalists to boot.

Listening to the new samples you posted, groovy. Might hunt it down.

Silly man. The second sentence should point to the first then.

It does! The two aren't contradictory.

Hmm... I loved Sun Faced Apostles. Don't really rate their new vocalist that much though, the old guy had a certain something that kinda added to the band more than anything else.

Eh. Either way, good albums should always be recommended.
