I basically have to review promos I get. On a side note I did recently discover a Metalcore band with potential that I'll be most likely reviewing for next week. They're called Reflux and I saw them open for Strapping Young Lad. They sound like Metalcore with technical almost Dream Theater like breaks.

This is the best Hardcore/Metal hybrid I have heard so far.
What I find so special about B.F.P. is that they constantly alternate between Hardcore Punk and steamrolling almost doom-laden Metal, instead of mixing it all to an inpenetrable conglomerate. The coherence of this album also shows the kinship between toese genres plus the heayness of this album kills some 95% of all "true" Metal releases ... so the whole "Metalcore is not Metal" discussion is quite strange, at least from a musical viewpoint free of ideologic considerations.
Like it is said in the review this "is a no-nonsense lesson in well-produced, crushing heaviness" and as this it is outstanding. So I add a 85 score.
