I listened to a few tracks of this, and I personally think it's a let down. It's not a bad album at all, by any means... But I just love these guys when they're jamming out like on Bedlam or De-Loused.

Kinda sucks, I really want to be a huge fan of these guys, but I'm stuck only liking 2 of their albums.

I love this album so much. Since We've Been Wrong and With Twilight as my Guide and Desperate Graves are so good. They make me so happy I want to die so that I'll never stop being that happy.

Anyways I do think you're right that this'll probably get overlooked as far as their discography goes. It doesn't have that epic, complete story that picks me up and takes me to a different world then drops me back down again. Probably because it is short; also the songs are all very different from one another and don't really flow together like their earlier albums do.

Sure, I'll get this album eventually, but I just hope they don't completely abandon the Latin Jazz influence and epic jams. They were my favorite parts.

Their worst album IMOH. Still, better than most other album in this week's selection.

Damnit, I still haven't been able to get into these guys past 'Intertiatic ESP'. Even though I know its good, I just can't seem to muster up the motivation to listen to and enjoy them. Maybe this release will make me want to re-listen to their previous albums again, and properly this time.

Definitely their worst album. It's not all bad as that is impossible from such a talented bunch, but I feel bored listening and waiting for the good bits to come.

Their most listenable album since De-Loused and their best since Francis.

Bringing their stuff back to earth is overdue.

You mean bringing their stuff back to boring?

Yes, thank you for correcting me with your amazingly deductive and wit infected powers.

Personally, I found this album far more interesting than their last two. Kinda like prefering to go to a pub rather than a rave where more stuff might be "happening" in theory, but less that interests me.

Apparently they're working on album six and it will be more collaborative with other members of the band!

I've actually become a much bigger fan of Volta and enjoy pretty much all their albums including this one. I still think it's a bit weak compared to the rest but it's still a good album. Just took awhile for their other work to grow on me.

Good quality live recording with what sounds like new songs.
