Good review, i thought this was a pretty enjoyable album but, as was said in the review, not as good as DT.

Thanks.......some of this album is actually really good. I see lots of other websites scoring this one very high. For me, a few of the tracks really just don't seem to gel. I hear John Petrucci's album is cool...maybe I'll check that one out. On the bright side, the new DT album is due in June......

I agree with Marty. Good CD but some tracks just don't do a whole lot. Nice to see Labrie doing something different and branching out from DT. Enjoyable but probably forgetable by the time the next DT arrives... as long as they don't rap on this one.

I haven't picked this one up yet, but if you want something different from DT you should check out the two Mullmuzzler albums. Is this new album anything like those?—for those who've heard them.

now, i dont like DT, you could say i hate it, and honestly i dont know what people see in petrucci, and i have always considered Ayreon way better than DT and my all time favorite progressive band, the human equation really open up my eyes about la brie, i believe he has a lot of potential that i wasnt able to hear on DT , maybe because all of petrucci's wankering(its like: we should put a solo here, and here, and here...just to prove we study music), so if this album its diferent than DT ishoul really give it a try.

By the way, to all DT lovers, this is just my opinion,no disrespect to all of you.

Shut Up. Wankery has to be the most idiotic shit you can possibly say about a band. If you dont like it, you done like it...They make music they are passionate about and is challenging to them. Some will like it and some wont...wankery needs to die.

I have listened to the album a couple of times and it sounds good.
It is a heavy album. What I was more interested in, was in Matt Guillory´s keyboards. In love his sound in Dali´s Dilemma, anybody knows something about that band? Did they quit? Or does Matt have some ohter proyects?

I really enjoy this album. Some of the tunes do indeed sound fairly derivative of a straight up thrash style in places. However the lead playing and arrangements are superb. Some great bass playing as well. Great album. I find myself listening to this all the time. even more than Train of Thought . DT have a sound, I respect LaBrie for going back to "basics". A great listen.
