Haha. That first paragraph is the single reason which has kept me from contributing reviews here. Have to check this out.

Man this is some cool shit. But for some reason to me it sounds like a sludgy Jefferson Airplane

This looks really interesting.

EDIT: Also, Profound Lore is fucking killing it. Seems like every good metal band I hear about is on that record label.

Yes, actually. Good description, MetalStorm.

It took me a few spins to really like this album, but I am defiantly hooked now. They have a very interesting sound that is hard to explain and I could see how that would make the review difficult to write. How does their debut compare to this?

Finally giving this a full listen and how it can balance the dynamic of the calm and airy aspects of the music like the vocals and the strings with the heaviness is really awesome.

First time listening and all I have to say is wow! This was a great find and is the reason I keep coming back to this site. With Hooded Menace last year and now this, I think I might have to check out Profound Lore past their headliner bands. Thanks to MetalReviews for introducing me to both of these bands. This is just absolutely fantastic. I love the violin usage.

Even if this album was just Whippoorwill repeated 8 times, it would still be awesome.

Great album, definitely in my favorites of 2011.

The only thing nagging at me every time I listen to it - the horribly spoken Russian in the beginning of Stonecarver. Cringeworthy pronunciation.
