Will listen.
Not convinced by this band in the past but I'll give them a chance anyway.

Ho, Steve, btw, you're really getting annoying.

This.

Who cares if it's derivative? Evile have basically stepped in and given the world the disc that the Black Album should have been. It's the perfect extension of all the brilliant ideas from Justice.

Sure, it's 20 years too late, but better late than never.

I have no issue with Evile borrowing so much from Metallica. In fact, I agree with you in that it's nice to hear a band channeling Metallica's early sound.

Yeah, I was agreeing with you.

That's why I wrote "This."

I'd really love to enjoy Evile as much as you guys seem to be enjoying them. My problem is that this band is too much of a MWE (Metallica-Worship-Enterprise) for me to do so.
I don't mind bands proudly displaying their influences as long as it leads to something that has a little personality. On the first spin of this new Evile (much like on their previous albums), I got the feeling that all the songs were leftovers from Metallica first three albums which is fine if that's what you're looking for.
In conclusion (judging from the one spin I gave the album), this is well done but highly derivative and, to be perfectly honest, totally unnecessary as Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are still available for everyone to hear.

I didn't want to like it, because I hate the last Album, but I actually think it is the best Evile so far. The debut was already great, but this is even bigger.

Yes it sounds like Metallica, but because I am also a Metallica fan, I have nothing against new Metallica songs that are sounding like Metallica, because Metallica do not anymore.

Ok, I could listen to KEA, RTL or MOP instead, but I've heard them already 1000000 times, so it's time for something new.

Well, I listened to Ride the Lightning tonight and had 10000000 times more fun than I had with this new Evile. I guess I don't need more good Metallica, especially if it's not really Metallica.

I'll listen to Death Magnetic tomorrow. I haven't in a very long time. Metallica! :dio:

Gave most of this a listen on the way to work. Very Metallica-y, of course, but they pull it off far better than, say, Trivium. Cult is a choon, too, there's definitely talent there. Not sure I'd give it an 87, but certainly doesn't deserve instant dismissal.

plan on getting this on my next amazon purchase. Was not very impressed with their previous efforts, but they always have a few good tunes. Plus, I already own the first 2 so why not buy the 3rd?
