Whoah, didn't notice this.

Yeah, it's basically the same production. Vocals are a bit more up front than on King of all Kings, however.

Hell yeah! This is how Death Metal is supposed to be like. Excellent!
Two Demons slays more than anything else lately.

Indeed, I love this album. Erik Rutan is one of my favorite guitarists currently, consistently churning out crushing riffs and awesome solos, both of which almost always manage to be memorable (can't say the same for many of his contemporaries). And it doesn't hurt that he is a great vocalist, and backed by an incredible drummer to boot.

The closing instrumental is especially remarkable, if not for the great riffing and soloing then for the awesomely out of character drumming that Derek Roddy lays down, giving the track some room to breath and creating one of the most awesome tracks to see the light this year.

Internal Suffering, a band produced by Eric Rutan, achieves the sound I believe Hate Eternal wanted. Less catchy, monotonous if you are casually listening, but achievable! VERY technical, and evil. I suggest them in place of Hate Eternal, and I, Monarch.
