Thanks Z, I'll respond to this review after I listen to the album in full.

Abigor's classic recording, and on my list of 10 best black metal records ever.

Your review def. sparked my interest in this cd.. Not a huge fan of black metal but after a few listens I have decided to pick this cd up..The female vocals and acoustics are cool and a bit surprising coming from a black metal band...

I actually liked the album quite a bit after relistening to it yesterday at work after nearly two years. The Dark Kiss, I face the eternal winter, plus the lush soundscapes reminded me a lot of early Naglfar. The band play a very familiar style of old school melodic black metal, and anyone who is a fan of Varathron, Naglfar, Dissection, or Sacramentum with some female vocals would love this album. Great stuff and they don't make albums like Nachthymnen anymore.

Better than Naglfar or Dissection, imo, but I'm glad you are liking it more now.
