Extremely underrated album. And while "Return to Serenity" isn't the greatest song, it does contain my favorite solo of all time. So soulful and emotional. I wish the song overall was stronger, though.

But yeah, The Ritual is a great album. Definitely a stab at mainstream success, but still great.

I have great memories of this album. I don't really have the testament albums available to listen to anymore, but there was a time that I maxed out my stereo system because I couldn't get "So Many Lies" loud enough. What a great riff!
