First of all welcome, cool to have new reviewer and I hope you stay here for a while.
Eluveitie, they were always alright, but just alright ( around 70 - 75 in my book ) as I consider many bands to be better at this folk stuff. Same goes for melodic-death segment.
I have yet to hear the whole album but from I heard so far only Havoc has that kick they need so much cause there's not much here we haven't heard already on previous albums. Secondly, IMO they still cannot pull off a 60 minute album without getting slightly boring.
On the other hand it's cool that the band has its own sound, slightly different than most other melo-death acts. But there's just something missing here, something that will help them reach the level of Ensiferum, Equilibrium or even Suidakra's stronger records.

I have listened to this album many times, it was definitely a grower for me and I am now quite attached to it. I find the songs are a bit more energetic than from past offerings.

Oh, and welcome aboard Leah!

It's not too bad but there older albums were definatly better. But Rose for Epona is a fuckin addicting song.

I think this will grow on me if I give it more listens, but so far it hasn't grabbed me like Everything Remains did. How do others think it compares? And I will admit I may have slightly over-quoted the previous album, though I still think it's damn good.
