The Ruins of Beverast is living proof that a black metal band can remain consistent while keeping all their (his) albums fresh and diverse. Take that, Xasthur!

Thanks so much for the review. This is my BM record of the year, for sure.

Yes.
This band has released only 3 black metal gems.

I like this album quite a bit, again, thanks to Dago for the heads up. Glad it got a solid review here. BM fans should go check this out immediately. :dio:

Nagelfar, the other band he was in, is quite good too; though not as good as RoB.

Yeah, quite a good band. Well executed, but a bit too standard.

On a third listen of this album and it is definitely growing on me. Atmosphere can be defined by this album!

Yeah it is definitely high quality material, but I'd compare this to something like Skepticism (came to mind because had it on last night) in the sense that I'm not going to listen to this stuff all the time.

Definitely not all the time. However, maybe I was genius insofar as I did foresee that it would need multiple listens. Regardless, I feel like this is really quality stuff. Haven't listened to it in a while, ditto that you don't listen to it all the time, but once it clicked I never regret when it comes to mind. It may not even be on this computer. Have to drag it off my external soon.

I'm just curious you guys, if you so many of you so loved this album, why the hell it has no 'reader votes'??

haha, great

It's just a very good indicator in a random browsing that a worthy release wouldn't be unnoticed, since 90% of the stuff here get 75-95.

Been listening to this band all night. Ruins of Beverast is excellent, Rain Upon the Impure, thanks to its 'stellar' production, really demands your absolute utmost attention though.

More listenable than Skepticism, as I previously compared it to?

Probably.
