I have been feeling the same way about this band for a while. I am ready to give one of their albums an honest listen. Sounds like this one is a good start. I've heard excerpts from previous albums and saw them live opening for someone once. Maybe it was Nevermore at Station 4 in Minneapolis. Anyway, I remember thinking these guys sound awesome and that surprised me cause I thought they were like a hardcore band too, but the singer had huge gauntlets on and they were not playing hardcore. More like traditional black metal. I can feel my lighter phase of the last few months drifting into a very heavy stage again. I wonder if anything good will come out the dividing of the Nevermore members.

That might apply if this album was entirely awful, but it's really not.

I've been listening to these guys since the mid 2000's when they first started as a metalcore band out here in AZ. I used to talk to the vocalist/guitarist on AIM.

Never were the best band, changed styles a lot, but weren't completely awful. This is a decent effort but I'd give it more a 70/100.
