beyond disssapointed when i recieved this as well. has to be one of limb products worse releases as of late. i agree the band should not be forgiven on the 3rd album. This is poorly put together material with no heart or energy. Bland is appropriate word (50) is my score. Not even giving credit to leads and solos because all power metal bands can do them. How they are implemented are what seperated the best from the rest. I guess I willl have to actas if this album never was released and Odin is still their pinnacle?

This is actually their sixth album, so that's why I was disappointed to see the band regress this time out. As for their earlier work, check out 1999's Bound by Metal. The production is a little thin, but I really enjoy that album.

I was waiting for a review of this album. I don't know why I like this band so much, not my favorite genre, but Odin and Head of the Deceiver are albums I dig alot (especially HOTD). I'm going to give this album a listen next time I'm at the cd store but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed as well.

Too bad but at least we can anticipate a come-back album.

humm, the review is a little harsh.
when you know the band, which is not my case, you may be disapointed but if you listento it for what it is, meaning a true/heavy metal release, it's not so bad.

in fact, some song as metal or warriors of the night (cliche, cliche) are pretty good for this kind of release.

i just got the latest cryonic temple and this latest wizard and i'm not sure the cryonic is superior despite what metal reviews' reviews may let you think.

standard, but quite pleasing to hear.
i think i'm gonna try the band's previous album to check their so called downfall.

I think after you hear Odin (2003) you will understand why we have took to this harshly. You are probably right tho. It just did not live up to expectations, but as some reviewers and fans say. The lower score is a from of punsihment if you know what I mean. Let us know what you think of ODIN :)
