Decent songs here and there, but nowhere near as good as Borrowed time in my opinion. These guys are nowhere near as shitty as most revivalist thrash bands, the first four songs are pretty much emblematic of the album just fun thrashy speed metal with a good vocalist. Great stuff R.I.P

I have to agree with you on this. Borrowed Time is by far superior to Harbinger. Harbinger and another local Michigan act called Shadowself are the direct-line descendants of Borrowed Time. Three former members of Harbinger have all, at one point or another been in Borrowed Time, and the main riff author for Harbinger is now the rhythm guitar player for Borrowed Time: my brother Victor (also guitar player for the thrash metal band Sauron).

I hate to detract from Harbinger since it's my former band, but so is Borrowed Time, and where Harbinger lacked professionalism and a desire to succeed, Borrowed Time cures those deficiencies. So, in short, go listen to Borrowed Time instead of Harbinger. It is in my heavily biased but objectively reasonable opinion, some of the best and most distinctive old school heavy metal you will have heard in a long time.

I have never heard what Borrowed Time are capable of. All I know is I enjoy the Harbinger album whenever I play it... I enjoy it a lot, that is. I know it's not perfect or anything (as stated in my review) but, in my opinion, heavy metal doesn't have to be perfect to be enjoyable and that's exactly what Harbinger provides us with: speed, raw and fun heavy/speed metal. And,lucky me, it's all I expected from it.

I'm very glad to hear it. To be honest, we didn't write the songs caring whether people would like it or not, but of course, it is always appreciated when people do enjoy it and I hope you were able to acquire it cheaply. I would recommend you listen to Borrowed Time as I think you will find the music.....executed better.
