Is Dodecahedron the million sided object? As in Descartes' Meditations wherein you could imagine it but it points to the limits of the senses insofar as you couldn't visualize it or something to that effect?

I believe it has a strong connotation to that. In fact I think you're spot on.

A dodecahedron is any three dimensional object with 12 flat sides. I know this because of the Simpsons. That is all.

In Greek Dodeca means 12, just in case :), so Thrashtildeth is correct.

(Sorry I messed up your quote in editing your message instead of quoting it, my bad. Chris)

Funny how some cartoon makes us know facts isn't it ? I can tell you when I was in my Chemistry class in Engineer school and the teacher asked who knows what the absolute zero is and I said it's -273.15 degrees celsius and the temperature at which all atomic movement stops, the entire class turned their heads (I was in the last row as usual). They all looked at me with such an expression on their eyes, it was so funny. The teacher was speechless as well :).

I just happened to be a HUGE Saint Seiya (anime) fan and knew all about the absolute zero since it was one of Camu's (Aquarius gold saint) ultimate attack.

Who said watching anime and cartoon doesn't help kids to learn anything :).

Just my 2 cents
Chris

Turns out that is a chiliagon. The dudes should have named their band chiliagon. That would have been awesome for a DsO style tech bm band. You cannot comprehend it but it's hitting you and you love it.

Yeah, this album is cool. I need to give it more than two spins though.

You mention Locrian, Rio? What do you think of them? And I'm really glad you wrote this review. Your knowledge of jazz really seems to help in describing this. It's hard enough wrapping your brain around the music let alone write about it.

I love the more "straightforward" moments on this, like on Allfather around 3:30

Not that hard to understand I don't think that all of Paracletus is shit, its just not as good as SMRC. Dodecahedron on the other hand is just laughably bad

It is hard to understand when you give Paracletus a '100' and Drought a '0'. All over the map, you should be a politician.

Totally different level of dissonance, Paracletus is slightly more ambient and Dodecadsuckdron is far more chaotic.

Some people think that the concept of dissonance doesn't apply anymore.

I think bands are going to start having to use a scale divided into 24 pitches to really surprise anyone anymore with that.

Whoa whoa whoa. That's a whole new ballgame here, kids. With creative merit like that, I think people should be getting off Steve's back. He obv knows what he's talking about.
