Probably is, but my addiction is bad enuff and am not jumping into sludge or stoner metal. Cant afford too even if I might like some of it, so i will just take peoples words for it and move on.

I wouldn't characterize this as stoner metal or sludge.

It sounds more like Ozzy era Black Sabbath straight out of the seventies. Very good and excellent for Sabbath lovers.

But what if you already own all Ozzy era Black Sabbath albums and you long for more?

You buy this album and you do it now!!!

What? Just like some Darkthrone clones are better than their forefather, Witchcraft are better than Black Sabbath. It is possible for new bands to be better than old bands, dear S.

yeah, sure... but dismissing everything a band of huge influence such as Black Sabbath has done just because you dislike what Ozzy has become is silly (and don't go saying that's not the reason, I know it's the biggest part of it would you admit it or not)...
+ there wouldn't be a Witchcraft for you to jerk on if Black Sabbath had never existed...

? :P

Witchcraft aren't better than Black Sabbath. I don't hear anything timeless on Witchcraft's albums, just good stoner rock.

I never liked BS, always found them a bit shite compared to Led Zep etc. Ozzy solo can be better than his time in BS, so You Are Wrong.

And there wouldn't be all those NWOBHM bands that you jerk off on if not for Chuck Berry. Chuck Berry is therefore the greatest musician that ever lived, and anything that comes after is rubbish.

And so I prefer Witchcraft. So what?

1.I never said you could not prefer Witchcraft to Black Sabbath...

2.I think you're speaking of Holy_Terror for he is the real NWOBHM fanatic. and I think Robert Johnson and Johan Sebastian Bach are more important to metal than Chuck Berry, and, yeah !, they were GREAT !

3.My mistake... but how you can prefer Ozzy's solo career to the classic BS is beyond me...

1. Sorry,
2. OK.
3. I don't always, but other bands seem to take the BS formula a lot further. Eg: I liked "War Pigs", until I heard FNM's cover, made the origional sound crap! OK, BS were the daddies, but it's like Mayhem and BM, other bands are much better.

You know what I mean. Do you like FNM's cover more than the origional?

no

it's good but Patton's voice is too nasal to enjoy on the whole Real Thing album, the BS cover is no exception...

You think so? Once I got used to his voice the nasalness isn't so bad. And you can't say Ozzy's not nasal...

I don't think Ozzy is as nasal as Patton was on The Real Thing... plus, we know Patton can do much better while is clear Ozzy is a very limited vocalist... therefore, I expect Patton to be godly good when I only want Ozzy to be Ozzy
