In theory I should like summoning but I don't. They just never did it for me.

Nice review, Alex. I'm a big Summoning fan but I didn't get much out of this album. From Dol Guldur to Stronghold I think they were at their peak, Let Mortal Heroes was a good album but dragged a bit in places. This album, I felt, dragged a lot and I didn't really notice the increased guitar sound here. Anyhow, nice effort on your part.

I like their early work more... The epic sound has always been plastic, obviously synth generated but on the new albums the guitars are shoved in the back. Now the synth instruments stick out... They won't ever use orchestra (so they said)... Probably the only band which should imho use orchestra of any "BM" bands.

I like Let Mortal ... but I wonder if I truely need more Summoning.

I urge fans of this band to get Wyrd - Heathen if you don't already have it, you won't be dissapointed.

Very good band, but this is their weakest effort to date.

Awesome album... though it's hard to believe that some are calling it their weakest release...
