This is a killer album! With so many dissapointments this year it's nice to see a new band making great power metal. My only complain is the killing songs...IMO Memories and The Red Rose are the 2 weakest track on the album, and Return of the Werewolf one of the best. Anyway, great album! This and Hibria is my surprise of the year so far.

Indeed a very good album, but after i listen to it i had the same feeling when i listened to Olympos Mons. It's good but nothing new or groundbreaking. The review was very good and what I particularly like about this band are the folkish influences. They give some diversity in the music just like the few bagpipe melodies in Conquistador.

Awesome album, quite a surprise. This year has sucked for metal so far (For my tastes) and so far this and Ulysses Siren are the only surprises. There have been some other great albums, like the new Nevermore, Dreamtale, Demons & Wizards, and Dream Theater but I knew they would kickass, thus, not a surprise.

I like the album alot , but the singer (to me) is not as good as described. Having said that, the arrangements and writing certainly makes up for it and makes for an excellent listen. I have enjoyed cds with far worse and less acquired type singers so for me this was not a problem. Of course the production is not the slickest i have heard and I bet that would have helped out the vocalists tremendously.
Still a great album, that I think is somewhat original. The songs seem happy , but some of the lyrics do not. Similar to the Dragonforce writing style in ways. Maybe with a more complex lyrical appraoch.

Agreed...this could have been a amazing year but it has been a big dissapointment. Hammerfall's chapter V was ok, new Freedom Call was boring, new Strtovarius was crap, Crystal Eyes (yes, I had expectations for that albium...) was mediocre. But I would add Sabaton to the surprise list (review it!! :P ). Oh, and the new DT was a snoozefest...better than Train of Thought but that doesn't say much as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah i think that this year is more to the suprise bands. There were some very good unknown bands delivering quality debut albums, unlike the more known.Bands like Cloudscape, Pantommind and Raintime has made this year very enjoyable for me.
