A month ago I was wondering if you`re going to review Non Requiem here when I found out that they are putting a new album out. I`m fond of first two records and from what I can hear while listening it online this does not quite reach them.
89 is a pretty huge score and according to you it requires repeated listens so I will probably postpone it. The new Iron Savior, Nightwish and Theocracy sucked out attention span for power metal right now.

It is true that at first it sounds different and might not grab you like previous albums. However, after play 3 or 4, the album really started to shine for me.

Iron Savior had the opposite effect, I loved it from first listen and now after 3 listens I feel no attraction to replay it. At least for now.

Just my 2 cents.
Chris

Whenever I have those, at first I don't like it, then I start to things; it ends up being one of my favorite albums.

Do you listen the first album "Domine"? It's a great album too. I'm spanish and for me, Dragonfly, Dark moor, Saratoga and specially Avalanch are the best bands in Spain.

I recommend listening to the last album of Avalanch, Malefic time apocalypse (http://www.avalanch.net/web/index.php?m ... nzamientos). It is the first album sung in English by Avalanch. And if you do not mind listening to songs in Spanish, his two previous albums, "El ladron de sueños" y "Muerte y vida" are incredibly fantastic. All Spanish and foreign critics scored their records between 95-100.

Seriously, you must give a chance to Avalanch if you do not know this group. Just listen to the last 3 or 4 discs. Their first albums were power metal, now it's just ... Avalanch.

Great band, clearly these guys know their power metal. Got this one two weeks ago. Three really good albums in a row. Respect.
