I enjoy Disturbed well enough (great workout music), but this album did nothing for me. Good review.

I remember seeing them live when they were just starting up. They ended up at my house after the show for my little after show party. I actually invited The Deadlights, who opened for them, but Disturbed showed up. I never really liked Draiman. He has an arrogance about him. He has a great voice, but the little characteristics he has to overuse with his vocals ruins it for me. The barks and yelps and chatters are just annoying. He has a great guitar player in Disturbed and the songs he just sings normal on are usually good. I guess gimmickry outweighs quality in this capitalistic world. Find something memorable repeat. I gave them a ride back to their hotel that night after introducing Draiman to Opeth hahahahah. That was funny! I was lit up pretty good. I can't believe they trusted me to drive. Anyway, Draiman has always been an almost there singer for me. Crazy thing is that I like them better now than I did then. I didn't go to see them that night. I like a few select Disturbed songs like The Night with great riffs and great singing without barks or chirps. His trademark barks and chirps are the deal breaker for me though and they always have been.

I don't know why, but when I see the name "Device" for this band, it looks like a reference to David Draiman's dick.
