Hm, need to give this more listens, but certainly felt it was a big step down from Blackjazz...

Like everything in life, the experience is all about the expectations. Imagine as if you hadn't heard Blackjazz prior to this, as was my case, and this album is a blast. If you're wanting eight minute abstract jazz jams, this isn't it. In terms of catchy metal, there aren't many albums that top it.

Two songs in so far and I really dig it, great use of the sax. I discovered them with Blackjazz but I have a preference for the first, more "immediate" part of it (up to and including Healter Skelter) so that might explain why.

This has grown on me a lot, good album. Cool live performance of You Won't Forget the band did in the street:

They're an awesome live band, I saw them some years ago when they were touring for Blackjazz and they probably played the tightest live rendition I've ever witnessed.

Which is saying something because that album is pretty complicated. Not to mention their earlier stuff.
