I'm also a fan of crossing black metal and death metal. It just sounds so brutal. Crionics' "Armageddon's Evolution" is in my top ten of the year. Behemoth's "Demigod" is in my top 20. I am definitely looking into this.

In that regard you seem to have tastes that are close to mine. With that being said, get Vile and thank me later. Just about the only drawback is it lasts 30 min.

I think it's the BM screams.. definately my preferred form of harsh vocals.

This is very good stuff. Holy crap this is a frikin short album. It feels like I just started it.

Anyway, nice review. I like your comparisons, especially the Cannibal Corpse one. The mixture of death and black metal isn't present nearly as much as Crionics or Behemoth, but I'm sure, as you stated, that is their way of not sounding like everyone else. 79/100 after my first listen.

At times, I am going to get flamed for this, this reminds me of The Black Dahlia Murder.

I am not the one at dishing out advices, but if you liked this, get some Council of the Fallen. Then you will see what I am talking about.
BTW, no flames, but this hardly sounds like anything BDM ever did.
