Zad, I forgot you were going to review and started putting some thoughts together on Abysmal Dawn's latest. I remember to be really excited by their debut From Ashes, but the album which followed was very average (IMO), so I lost interest. Obsolescence is actually pretty solid, but not spectacular. As you said, these guys know how to deliver the hook and their technical abilities are very strong. I liked their more meaty and deliberate Inanimate track, as well as Human Obsolescence opener, and Dissection cover was pretty good, blurring the edges between black and death, the opening riff so iconic, the whole song taking US death metal on a trip to icy Scandinavia. I would agree with the score too.
