Thanks Zadok, looks promising. 85 and not say a 95 because you mentioned the weight of the band's past: basically it isn't as good as Transcendence into the Peripheral?

Just got this a few days ago. Listened to it once, besides the last track which I have not gotten to yet. Stellar material. Creating ambiance with guitars, malign leads (simple yet effective), and intriguing and subtle drum-work. This album satisfies the thirst and hunger of anyone craving for crushing Doom. This album reminds of the darker side of classical music, especially movie scores through creating atmospheres and grandeur. Punishingly heavy. Two thumbs way up!

Pretty much; 85 in my mind was a pretty good score anyway but distinct from the 95-level that TITP would have gotten. It's definitely a great album, though!
