Best album I've heard in months. Goat points out the clean vocals, and they absolutely distinguish this band in finding the perfect balance between neither being a gimmick nor a distraction. The Warrel Dane reference initial threw me for a loop (RIP), but I understand it now in the context of his deeper registers like on the title track of Dreaming Neon Black. Nile, is probably the closest reference here, with Behemoth second, but the guitar phrasing wouldn't seem too out of place on Thy Darkened Shade or even Ruins of Beverast recordings for the slower sections.

The biggest problem technically proficient black/death bands face is a lack of compositional strength. Despite their awesome sound, songs blur together because they all sound the same. But this band avoids that by mixing in varied tempos and genres: Tremelo picking plus open chords more reminiscent of mid paced black metal are nearly as essential the faster death metal sections, not to mention the thrash and doom parts Goat alluded too.
