You like this one a fair bit more than I did. It's definitely getting a lot of good press, which is nice to see, they've been a good band for a long time. The jazzy and/or post rock stuff just leaves me a little hollow, so I'll stick with the Call of the Wretched Sea...and Esoteric in general. I would agree that the album ended very strongly with Esoteric feature.

This album is devastingly heavy. Much like the first two albums but with the lead guitars a bit higher in the mix and a bit cleaner and crispier production, overall. Lyrical concept, art-work, delivery. Par excellence!
