I fall in between you two. Starts quite strong for the first three tracks--I loved Dimensional Ascendancy, liked all the tremolo throughout the album, but I also felt everything blurring together after 6 or 7 tracks. In Mortal Thresholds stood out for me at 8 though--quite liked those high runs into the breakdown and brief spacey solo, and made up for the somewhat out of place closer.

I'd recommend Maul, Sanguisugabogg, 200 Stab Wounds, Mutilatred. A lot of these bands from Ohio re just crushing bands in the vein of Devourment, Dying Fetus, Skinless, Suffocation etc. If you like heavy music ithout the watered down Swedish crap that was popular a decade ago this stuff might be for you
