Good work on this review.. I personally scored it 80 because it strikes me as a four out of five star album, heehee.

I definetly disagree with your assertion that "Elements" is garbage, however.. in my view it's clearly superior to this release.

It's about goddamn time these albums get re-released. This isn't quite as good as Unquestionable Presence (review that in classics dammit!), but then very few albums are. Also Elements is fucking awesome, thank you.

Havent heard it yet(Disgracefull I know) but I do really enjoy Cynic and Alarum so this is the next step.

I love opinions. But really, I hated Elements. 62 or so from me.

I'll try and get everyone to agree to an Unquestionable Presence Classic. It deserves it, that CD is at least as influential as Death's Human and quite a bit more compositionally unique.

Oh, how I love this album. Unquestionable Presence is quite awesome as well, but this has to be my favourite death metal album.

Piece of Time gets at least an 85 from me, and the follow up album is a classic.

"Jazzy Death Metal" is a bit misleading. This debut is at least as much Thrash Metal as it is Death. Anyway, I have to agree with Brahm_K. This is definitely Atheist's best effort!

I had track 7 on repeat for half an hour before I finally noticed.. that's how complex and good this album is!
