"many different variations of metal"

really? it looks more like a nu/core fanfare to me.

Type O Negative, Death, Obituary, Opeth, Cannibal Corpse... nu/core?

Shut up, idiot.

I see that Dino re-used the music for a song he did with the lead singer of Liquid Gang after he left Fear Factory.

Spiffy, I've been wanting to read a review of this.

I thought Annihilation By The Hands of God was pretty sweet, and I want to hear Roads and Constitution Down. The rest seems uniformly unapealing.

Annihilation by the Hands of God is really the only song worth hearing on here. Everything else is just boring chug-a-chug crap or ruined by a crappy vocalist like Mark Hunter.

Roads is a great song.

I think this cd is pretty average, best song being Annihilation by hte hands of god.

Average yes, but not terrible. I think most metalheads are giving this a miss on the basis that it's RoadRunner which automatically makes it shit/nu/core/whatever. Not worth buying Imo, but worth d'loading a few tracks like Roads, Constitution Down and Annihilation By The Hands Of God.

"Annihilation By The Hands Of God" has a retard singing, so if you're into that you may dig it. You can also try The Kids Of Widney High. "E-L-V-I-S" is much better than "Annihilation By The Hands Of God."

Whatever good music on this cd is completely soiled by the utter crap that surrounds it. Fuck road runner.

It's quite lame so many people are judging this album before listening to it. Yes, there will be songs you don't like it you are not into core and nu-metal, but there are some great tracks on here. If you haven't already, you guys really need to check this out.

For those interested but are "scared" that this is a core/nu-metal fest, check out the genre specs I would give to each track:

1. The Dagger - Groove Metal w/ harsh vox
2. The Enemy - Death Metal
3. Annihilation by the Hands of God - Brutal Death Metal
4. In the Fire - Melodic Traditional Metal
5. The End - Nu-Metal
6. Tired 'N Lonely - Hard Rock
7. Independent - Thrash Metal/Crossover
8. Dawn of a Golden Age - Melodic Black Metal
9. The Rich Man - Nu-Metal
10. No Way Out - Hard Rock
11. Baptized in the Redemption - Industrial Metal
12. Roads - Opeth style ballad
13. Blood & Flames - Traditional Metal
14. Constitution Down - Thrash Metal
15. I Don't Wanna Be (A Superhero) - Punk Rock
16. Army of the Sun - Nu-Metal
17. No Mas Control - Nu-Metal
17. Enemy of the State - Goth Metal

In reality, there is almost no obvious metalcore songs on this album, and a great minority are actually nu-metal. Check it out if you don't believe me!

I give this album kudos because it is a cool concept, the DVD that comes with it is a nice addition, and the songs on the album, though not awe inspiring, are not bad. Lets not forget that this album can't exactly please everyone fully since its so diverse. In all, i think it was a fantastic idea on the part of Roadrunner to make an album like this. Somewhere between 75 and 80 for me on this one.

Or Resistance Records. Absurd with guest vocals by Prussian Blue!

Why, so you can have death metal song after death metal song with a special track by Bongzilla and Mortician? Relapse doesn't have the history that Roadrunner does, which is what makes this album so interesting.
