A detailed set list should have been included in the review.

Thanx Crims for a great review. And I am also unabashedly a Kamelot fanboy! I would have freaked to hear Center of the Universe, seeing that Epica is my all time favourite power metal album. Being in South Africa the pleasure of seeing them will forever be denied me so I will revel in your description. :(

You're probably right though I usually don't remember song per song order and I don't feel like taking notes because I'm there as a fan not a pseudo-journalist,, but here it goes. I will only include Witches and Kamelot since Penetrator only named a few songs.

Seven Witches:
Metal Tyrant
new song
new song
Cries Of The Living
Camelot
Apocalyptic Dreams
Passage To The Other Side
Mental Messiah/Priest outro (Victim Of Changes)

Kamelot:
Center Of The Universe
Soul Society
The Spell
When The Lights Are Down
Desert Reign/Nights Of Arabia
Abandoned
Edge Of Paradise
Forever
Memento Mori
The Haunting
Epilogue
Farewell

Encore:
March Of The Mephisto
Karma

* this is from memory. All the songs are there but the order might be a tad messed up but it's damn close There was also a Kamelot drum solo and a keyboard solo... and they used a couple of the interludes for intros.

I was there with Crims, and I have to tell you he screamed like a little girl when Khan came on the stage. I had to hold him back or he would have thrown himself on poor Roy. I dont blame him, he is quite the looker. Apart from that it was a great show and Kamelot made me Cum A Lot. I was also able to score a Thom Youngblood guitar pic, BOOYAH!

I just saw them tonight, can't believe they didn't play The Fourth Legacy(by far their best song), would have been nice for something off their first 3 albums.

Fourth Legacy would have been nice, as well as Across The Highlands in my opinion.

Fourth Legacy was mediocre album in my opinion.. the title track totally rules (it's one of my Kamelot favourites) and Shadow of Uther is a good song, other than that i don't like the album.

i'd love to see Kamelot live, and yeah i find Khan an amazing singer...

though the songs they played are nothing like my favourites - elizabeth III, wings of despair, fourth legacy.. you know, the faster ones. the only one they played that i really love is "When the lights are down" plus "Paradise" and "Universe"...

Fourth Legacy is a great album and probably my favorite by them, I think only 2 tracks get annoying due to repitition (Silent Goddess and Inquisitor)

Fourth Legacy is probably my second favourite Kamelot album behind Epica.

I'm not surprised nothing from the first thee albums was played - I've read interviews where Thom Youngblood says he considers them almost the work of a different band. I've also seen comments from Khan saying that he isn't really a fan of any of them (including Seige Perilous).

i dunno... the vocals are nice (it's Khan after all) but nowhere near as cool as on the later albums and the music was too slow.

I agree. I have a really hard time listening to the old stuff, including Siege, because it was too slow and plodding, especially when Kamelot plays fast so well.

that's not saying much...

but who agrees with me on this: the fourth legacy's title track is without question one of the best songs from Kamelot. the middle chant part is kinda corny but other than that it kicks ass. i love the starting riff, it's all dramatic and epic but it's still fast and heavy and catchy.

I agree, not sure if you thought I was implying that Fourth Legacy was slow or some one else was.

Yes, I love that song, but Nights Of Arabia, Until Kingdom Come, and Shadow Of Uther are really good too. I actually like the whole CD but for some reason I almost never listen to Lunar Sanctum.

Yeah I meant Az. I agree Dominion and Seige Perilous just seem to go on and on and on.
