im a bm head! and ive come from the woodwork!

the vocals on this one suck. im not talking about the operatic ones, those are wonderful, but the dani fvkking filthish vocals not only give me allergies, i also have to go to a dialysis centre to get myself cleaned.

I got this CD a long time ago. Thats when I was really really into Cradle of Filth & Dimmu Borgir, so you could only guess my initial reaction to Firestorm. I loved it! I don't mind the vocals at all, in fact I enjoy them... I do still like Firestorm, but I barely listen to it anymore. Hopefully their next release will stick with me longer.

I guess the people are somewhat agreeing on the points that I have been making in my review.

Took me a while to get into these guys, but they're a very good band. Good review!

i wonder whether you would have like the review if no matter how hard you tried you would not have been able to get into these guys?

Probably. I try and read all the reviews every week, whether I am interested in the band or not. It was a good review, liking the music as well is a bonus.

I am sure some have been less inspired than others, but my recipe is really simple - I try to approach it with an open mind, I try to throw out my own prejudices out the window, then I am trying to get more and more listens (it is never enough, trust me, and I am always strapped for time), I take notes while I do so, and then I write after mulling the phrases in my head for a week.
I love writing, but the mere fact I still feel I do not get enough listens and I can't listen to "weeks on end" to something I really enjoyed or to something in my collection I would like to revisit - that brings me frustration which will be the reason why eventually I will quit this someday.
I won;t be lying to you, but I am impartial to the young less known bands, especially if they have any ties to the country I used to call home.

It's definately not "true" in any sense, but it's a solid album. I agree with the review- it's like a better version of Cradle of Filth. I heard them on an internet radio station last year and was really impressed... in listening to it now I'm still impressed. They're a decent band, and well worth checking out if you like Symphonic Black Metal.
