First of all, there's really not much here that sounds like No Stranger To Love (which is a ballad throughout). A couple of tracks have a similar feel at first but then get heavier with thundering riffs (unlike No Stranger To Love) and since when does Tony Iommi ever play fast paced music anyway? His style was and always will be more of a slow plodding riff heavy metal. The slower heaviness accents Glenn's soulful and bluesy style very well. I'm surprised that you don't seem to like it very much as I've read many reviews on the net for this album and all have been extremely positive. In fact, many have scored it even higher than I did. You're entitled to your opinion to not recommend this album but I beg to differ and judging by all of the reviews I've read thus far, so do many others.
I can understand where your coming from on this one Marty. I know you are a big Black Sabbath fan and might tend to accept it more because of that. I like Sabbath too, have all the releases up to Forbidden. I like Iommi's solo album, "Iommi", where he used different vocalists. I would recommend that one.....
