I own this album, and to tell you the truth, I hardly listen to it. However, when abyssmal gloom strikes me and I spin this album it feels like such a masterpiece it's kind of hard to describe. It is not at all a diverse album, but it does its job of being [funeral] doom and not much else.

aargh i'm glad you're enthusiastic about this CD but Funeral it isn't.

88 from me. A great album that wanders a bit towards the end. I slightly prefer the self-titled Dolorian album. Desolated Colours has an awesome sound, as Dolorian are masters of the guitar effects on that song. I know this is isn't funeral doom (it is better than most Funeral!), but I wouldn't call it gothic doom either. Dark-doom seems like a good label to me.

I did it once, and ever since, I've hated song by song analysis. Other than that, you made me want this. Despite reviewing albums of the Doom style before, with much higher scores, you made me want this. This was a band you've mentioned many times that I wanted to sample, but until now, have never been that excited about... Actually, when I saw that there was a review for it, I made a mental note to read it later, because I didn't want it meshing with the other reviews in my head. You are gaining a reputation for reviewing some pretty cool stuff. Awesome work.
